The GUTS Motor Tour
Our annual fundraising Motor Tour has been running for over 20 years and remains as popular as ever, with record entries in recent years.
It is a fabulous fun day out for drivers and passengers of veteran, vintage, historic and classic cars who enjoy taking their vehicles out for a run on beautiful country roads around Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex.
The Motor Tour, which has no element of driving competition, covers approximately 60 miles and takes the participants at a leisurely pace over scenic roads, largely off the beaten track. The start point is obviously known, but the final destination – which changes each year – is a closely guarded secret until closer to the day itself. Refreshments and breakfast at the start give the navigators time to familiarise themselves with the route, which is defined by Tulip diagrams, and a picture quiz will keep all the passengers eagle-eyed throughout.
Rounding off the day, our final destination is always a venue of notable interest where participants can explore and discover fascinating sights and settings in the south of England. Sandhurst, Arundel Castle, Chawton House, Bignor Roman Villa, Wakehurst and Fort Nelson have all welcomed the GUTS Motor Tour in recent years and provided a fitting backdrop for an array of wonderful old cars.

Toot, toot! The Motor Tour has raised tens of thousands of pounds for GUTS over the years, thanks to many kind volunteers who have freely given time, expertise and effort to devise and organise the event and make each one so special.
