Four days, 296 miles, two capitals… have you (and your legs) got what it takes?
This great cycling adventure starts in London and then heads through the Kent countryside to Dover. The ferry crossing will give your legs a welcome rest before you complete this 73-mile stretch at your first overnight stop in Calais. Day two is a 79-mile leg though undulating countryside to Arras, taking in water and lunch stops before reaching this pretty French town and checking into your second hotel.
Your third day takes you through the WW1 battlefields of Somme in Picardy. Things get a bit steeper here with a climb up Mont Cesar before reaching the town of Creil to enjoy a well-earned rest after this 88-mile ride. The final day is a gentler 55 miles to the French capital, stopping off at the Louvre and finishing the challenge at the Eiffel Tower. There is a celebratory meal in the evening and the following day you have the opportunity to see the climax of the Tour de France in the Champs-Elysées. You will take the Eurostar back to St Pancras in the evening, where you will be re-united with your bike.
All travel, accommodation and meal costs (apart from breakfast on Day 1) are included as well as guide, mechanic and medical support and the transfer of your bike to St Pancras. This challenge raises £750 for GUTS – you will have the option of fundraising this element or paying the full amount yourself.
